I’m a Brooklyn-based writer and editor, currently assigning longform as a features editor at Slate. I’m also a part-time journalism instructor in The New School’s Creative Publishing and Critical Journalism MA program. Previously, I’ve worked as an editor at Texas Monthly and contributing editor at Allure. My work centers on industries that deserve more critical attention, like beauty, wellness, fitness, travel, or the time I embedded with a group of teens at a Margaritaville convention. My writing has been published by The Washington Post, The Atlantic, Outside, VICE, Marie Claire, Jezebel, Glamour, and SELF. I graduated from NYU and earned my MA in Creative Publishing and Critical Journalism from the New School, where I worked as an editor at Public Seminar. I’m also the co-founder of Disaster Mag, a crisis-themed independent zine, which you can find here. For inquiries and assignments, please contact me at leah.prinz@gmail.com.
